Fueling Our Future
Have you ever heard of a fuel called ethanol? It’s a gas that can be used in your family’s cars, that burns cleaner that regular gasoline. It also reduces air pollution and doesn’t pollute the water. Ethanol is made out of corn – and much of that corn is grown right here in Wisconsin. When corn goes to a plant to be made into ethanol, the kernels are separated – and only a small part of each kernel goes toward making ethanol. The rest is used to make things like carbon dioxide, biodiesel, corn oil, bran, and high-quality animal feed. Want to know more about ethanol?
