Osprey On The Move
Many birds like osprey and eagles like to build their nests high off the ground and in the open, to make it easier to see their prey. That’s why many of these birds build their nests on power lines or poles. These are dangerous places for birds to nest, because they could be electrocuted, or sticks from the nests could fall onto the power lines and cause an outage. So nests built on transmission structures need to be moved. That happens by installing a nesting platform nearby, and then moving the nest to the platform, so the birds have a safe place to live.
