Solar Olympics

Have you ever wondered how solar power works (that’s when the sun produces energy and makes things work without gas or electricity)?  How a solar powered car moves, or how food is cooked just by putting in direct sun light, or how water is heated when left out in the sunshine?  Well, in this segment we’re heading to SOLAR OLYMPICS to watch as high school kids from around Wisconsin not only learn about all those things, but also BUILD their own solar powered cars, food cookers and water heaters.  And it doesn’t stop there.  They even designed solar efficient houses, made art representing solar power, planned marketing campaigns for solar power and much, much more.  So come along with us as we go Into the Sunlight!
