Forester

A forester has many responsibilities and they don’t all begin in the woods.  Here’s a quick run down of they basically do...
A forester uses aerial photos (those are pictures taken from an airplane) of a wooded sight to decide where the logging roads should be built.
A forester also has to go into that wooded sight to learn about the trees to decide which ones can be used to make new products and which ones need to stay in the forest.
Another part of the job is to make sure that while the machines are going in and out of the woods with logs, the rivers, lakes and streams are protected (meaning pollutants aren’t allowed to get in the water.)
There are a lot of other things foresters do too.
