Big Forest, Small Forest

Have you ever thought about all that goes on in a forest? People camp, bike, hunt and fish. We also harvest some trees to make a variety of wood products. And animals make their homes, hunt for food, and raise their young. Because it's a resource we all share, we need to take care of it. That's why foresters and other natural resource managers are so important. Their job is to figure out the best way to keep a forest healthy for everyone. Below are some things in the forest that people, animals, trees and plants all share. See if you can unscramble the words:

xgynoe
rcanbo exdioid
retwa
stungilh
osli
csepa

Key: oxygen, carbon dioxide, water, sunlight, soil, space
