HUNTING SKILLS

If you've ever hunted-or known someone who has-you know it's not as easy as it looks! There are a lot of skills you need to know to be successful-like how to track wildlife and look for signs that they may be nearby, as well as how to shoot a gun or bow accurately-and safely. One easy but very important safety tip to remember is "T-A-B":
Treat every gun as if it were loaded.
Always point the gun in a safe direction.
Be sure of your target and what lies beyond it.

A great place to learn tips like this is a Hunter Safety Class. In fact, anyone born after January 1, 1973 needs to attend a Hunter Safety Class before they're allowed to hunt in Wisconsin. Once you've passed and you're at least 12 years old, you can get your hunting license. But remember-if you're under 14, you still need a parent or guardian with you to go hunting.
