FARMS OF THE FUTURE

What will dairy farms look like in the future? Will someone figure out how to make cows give different-flavored milk? Will dairy farms move to outer space? Who knows! Some farms are already producing their own electricity by burning the methane that comes from cow manure. Windmills are being used to generate power, too. Other farms are learning new ways to keep fertilizer from running off their fields into nearby streams or lakes. Because farmers make their living off the land, it pays to look ahead and figure out how to keep it healthy!
