DAIRY TO DO'S

How can kids get involved in Dairy Farming? Justin from our Adventure Team has discovered some great ideas to put on your "to do" list!

For starters, how about becoming a Junior Dairy Ambassador? Their job is to help people understand more about the dairy industry in Wisconsin. For example, when Justin caught up with two ambassadors named Shannon and Sam, they were talking to 2nd graders at Slinger Elementary School. They brought Sam's 2-day old calf along so the kids could meet her! Then they went to a radio station where the DJ interviewed them on the radio. Sound like fun? If you're not old enough to be an ambassador, ask your teacher if they can come to your school!

Some other cool ways to get involved in dairy farming are through 4-H, Badger Dairy Camp, or by going to your own County Fair. For more information about these and other Dairy To Do's, click below:

Of course, the tastiest way to get into the dairy scene is by eating ice cream and cheese or by drinking milk!
