THE HARVESTERS

Wisconsin celebrated one hundred years of forestry last year. Today's loggers are very different from those in the past. Their equipment is a lot more hi-tech. These days, many loggers ride in air-conditioned cabs as they operate their harvesting machines. Modern loggers also work with foresters who figure out which trees to save and which trees to harvest. It's all about keeping forests healthy for the people and wildlife that rely on them!
