DEER HUNTING SAFETY

Every year, thousands of deer hunters forge their way through the woods to find their prize buck. To ensure your safety in the woods, don’t forget to enroll in a deer hunter safety program. These programs are offered at your local DNR offices.

To find out where and when hunter safety programs are offered in your area, log on to http://www.dnr.state.wi.us

This class will teach you how to aim at your target, different types of shooting positions, how to cross obstacles, and how to get in a deer stand safely.

After you graduate from your hunter safety program you can obtain a hunting license. You have to be 12 and over to obtain a deer-hunting license.
