ALTERNATIVE TRANSPORTATION

In a lot of cities, cars are the biggest polluters. In fact, driving just 25 miles can create one whole pound of air pollution. And since Americans drive over 2.3 billion miles a year (that’s 92 thousand times around the earth), we’re polluting the air pretty fast. Here’s how you can help cut down on pollution:

• Plan out your day. Think about combining trips to the store, school, etc. instead of coming home in-between.

• If you can ride your bike, take the bus, or walk somewhere instead of asking for a ride, do it!

• Keep up with transportation technology! By the time you can drive, there might be some pretty cool cars out there that give off little or no pollution at all!
