Into the Outdoors
Wins Sixth Emmy!
MADISON – Television’s highest award, the Emmy, was presented to the weekly Wisconsin-based children’s series Into the Outdoors at a gala ceremony held in November at the Park West in Chicago. The award was presented by the Chicago/Midwest Chapter of the National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
The series has been nominated for an Emmy every year since its debut in 2001. This marks its ninth Emmy nomination and sixth win. Executive producers of Into The Outdoors are Mark C. and Lisa Rose, owners of Discover Mediaworks, Inc., which produces the series.
The Emmy was awarded to Into the Outdoors in the category of Outstanding Achievement for Children’s Programming – Children’s or Teen Series. The winning episode is entitled “Derailing Aquatic Hitchhikers” and was produced by Stacey Wendt-Kaisler and John Oakes of Discover Mediaworks.
Into the Outdoors is committed to teaching children about Wisconsin’s natural resources and outdoors traditions. The program airs in markets throughout Wisconsin and in neighboring states.
