Adventure Team

Hi, my name is Meagan.

I live in Madison and I am thirteen years old. This year I was in Annie at Edgewood, where I go to school. I am going into eighth grade next year. I haven’t had that much experience in acting but I hope that will change in the next few years.

When My sister, who is 24, told me about the audition for Into the Outdoors I was really excited but I didn’t think I had much of a chance. I am really glad I tried out after all! I really enjoy photography, especially flowers and other nature scenes. I also like softbalI.

I love Into the Outdoors because I get to make new friends with the other people I work with and I teach other kids about the outdoors. I’m always proud of myself when I see an episode of Into the Outdoors that I’m on. It’s a great experience
.

Question - Answer

Q: What do you do for fun when you’re not shooting Into the Outdoors?

A: I go shopping, I go to movies, and I just hang out with my friends! And I like Photography so I take pictures a lot.

Q: How do your friends and family feel about you being a host on Into the Outdoors?

A: My friends are happy for me, and my mom emailed everyone when we found out I got it, so you could say my family was excited too.

Q:
What is the best part about being on Into the Outdoors?  And the coolest thing you’ve ever gotten to do on a shoot?

A: You get to be on TV, I love the crew, I meet new people, and I get paid for doing all that!

Q: What did you learn about the shooting process of Into the Outdoors that you didn’t know before you did it the first… second… or third time?

A: I didn’t know you had to do it so many times to get different shots and angles.

Q: What kind of music do you listen to?  And do you listen to it between shots or locations on a shoot?

A: I mainly listen to pop, rock, and sometimes country. I like Fergie a lot. And I don’t listen to it between shots.

Q: What is a normal shoot for you like?  Do you stay in a hotel the night before or after?  Do you have to wear make-up or special clothes?  Who decides these things?  Do you hang out with the crew?  I have so many questions I don’t know where to start… tell me everything?

A: A normal shoot is doing scenes over and over for about 6 hours for 4 minute segments. I stay in a hotel the night before. I wear a little blush and I wear my own cloths but the producer decides which ones. And I hang out with the crew even when we’re not on shoots!

Q: Is it hard to make up school work when you have to miss class for an Into the Outdoors shoot?  When do you make up the work?  And, would your parents still let you be a part of the ITO cast if your grades started to go down?

A: No, it’s not hard to make up school work I’m a good student. I make up the work right when I get back from the shoot. Yes, they would still let me because it probably wouldn’t be from ITO that my grades go down and I would be more upset than my parents.

Q: Of all the Into the Outdoors episodes you’ve done, which one is your favorite?  Why?  Was the segment’s topic really interesting, or did you just have fun with the crew?

A: I think my favorite was the one about the Operation Support Analyst, because we got to actually use the tools and it was my first shoot!

Q: What is your favorite movie… and your favorite part, of course?

A: Napoleon Dynamite and my favorite part is…every part! I love that movie!

Q: If you could be ANYTHING in the world when you grow up, what would it be?  What’s so cool about it… and have you always wanted to be one?

A: I would say a photographer and I have wanted to be one since I was 10 and I love it because whenever I develop the pictures I’m always so proud of myself!
